Earlier this month, I had the absolute honor and privilege to speak at my friend Nicki Koziarz’s Soul Shalom Weekend (click here to check

My chest feels tight with indecision and my soul stings with disappointment. It feels hard to muddle through the day, wading through the noise

A glowing Christmas tree and crackling fireplace became the scenic backdrop of my own, personal pity party. I was only a few weeks postpartum

After a series of slammed doors and plans that didn’t exactly pan out, I had resigned myself to something smaller, but something safe. Maybe you’ve been there too? The in-between. The messy middle. The place where you feel like your grand, God-given dreams get neatly packaged up and put away like Christmas decorations at the end of the holiday season.

In a season of isolation, I’ve found it difficult to feel close to Him, even when I want nothing more than to feel God like sunlight on my skin. But did you notice the key word there? Feel.
MEET KATHRYN
hi loves!
LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Fueled by equal parts iced coffee and my two kids, you’ll probably find me in the aisles of my local thrift store or picking up library books when I’m not writing words or making messages happen.
I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was six and I asked Santa for paper and crayons for Christmas to make my own books. I crafted words as writer and editor at a daily paper, as a Director of Communications for a marketing agency, in my role at Proverbs 31 Ministries’ COMPEL Training where I encouraged and equipped writers, and as a marketing consultant for authors and publishers.
However, my biggest passion is my family. I live with husband, Brett, and two children (Benjamin and Emma) in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are my first and most favorite ministry.
